Ebola Surviver And Her Dog Reunited!

We are all relieved to learn that the TX nurse, Nina Pham, has been declared Ebola-free. But we take actual joy in the news that Nina Pham reunited with her dog Bentley – an adorable little Cavalier King Charles spaniel.  For 21 days, Bentley was held in quarantine out of concern that he may have contracted Ebola from Nina.

Bentley was quarantined at the Grand Prairie Armed Forces Reserve Complex and cared for by a team of veterinarians, according to ABC News.  During Bentley’s stay, it was advised that Nina not come visit.  The caregivers were concerned that Bentley could become very depressed and stressed if Nina came to visit and he watched her then leave.

The city of Dallas held a news conference when the two were reunited.  Nina had tears of joy and Bentley was so excited he could not sit still during the conference.  Here is the video of the two during the conference – courtesy of the City of Dallas.
