Celebs Accused Of Animal Abuse

Most of the time, celebrities use there wealth and fame to give back to animals in need. Countless numbers of celebs, from Miley Cyrus to George Clooney, have been advocates for shelter animals and many more. However, there are many celebrities who abuse their power and animals. Whether it’s through neglect or dog fighting, here are 12 celebrities who have been accused of animal abuse or mistreatment.

Michael Vick

Probably the most well-known case of celebrity animal abuse comes from football quarterback Michael Vick. In 2007, Vick, along with three other men, were indicted on charges of operating unlawful interstate dog fighting. 

Justin Bieber

The young musician not only gave away his pet hamster to a fan outside a concert, but he also abandoned his pet monkey after it was seized in Germany. He and his father have also been accused of abandoning an American bulldog puppy after they sent him to a trainer’s house. 

Jesse James

Like Michael Vick, James apparently brought his dogs to a dog fighting ring. Although, there are some who say James’s dogs got into a fight when he wasn’t around.

Mitt Romney

Back in 1983, Romney drove for 12 hours with his dog Seamus on top of the car in a carrier that had a windshield… WHAT?!

Cesar Millan

Known as the “dog whisper,” Millan’s techniques have been labeled as abuse. He can be seen on his show kicking a dog, however, Millan denies all allegations.

Miranda Lambert

The country singer, who has co-founded MuttNation, a sanctuary for dogs, was filmed killing an alligator for no reason, except pleasure. She’s also a fan of hunting. 

Courtney Love

Her dogs  apparently ate breast implants that were laying around her house. And one of her dogs reportedly died from ingesting prescription pills.

Derick Dillard

The son-in-law of Bob and Michelle Duggar was seen trying to run over a cat while sledding. Dillard did say “move cat,” in the video, however then proceeded to try and run it down. 

Ozzy Osbourne

The infamous moment when Osbourne bit off the head of a live bat will forever scar the musician’s legacy.

In 2008, the rapper was charged animal cruelty, and in 2009 he served 90 days in jail. 

Troy Gentry

The country music singer caused outraged when he killed a captive bear. 

Sarah Palin

In January 2015, Palin was accused of animal abuse after she shared a photo of her son Trig using the family dog as a stepping stone.
