- Border Collie – As you can imagine, these dogs need to be swift and sure in order to care for their flocks whether that’s sheep, cows or llamas. They do particularly well in canine sports like flying disc competitions and field trials. While these dogs are great companion animals, they need a job and will herd anything they can find including you and your kids.
