RECORD SETTING 374 ADOPTIONS OVER BLACK FRIDAY/CYBER MONDAY WEEKEND AT LIFELINE ANIMAL PROJECT’S SHELTERS
$25 Adoptions throughout December on Dogs over 25 lbs. and Cats
ATLANTA, GA — (December 1, 2016) Christmas came early for employees of LifeLine Animal Project, the managing organization for DeKalb County Animal Services (DCAS) and Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS). The non-profit saw a record number of homeless pets find their forever families over Black Friday/Cyber Monday Weekend. 374 shelter animals found new homes during the fee-waived adoption promotion, sponsored by Best Friends Animal Society and Zappos.com. In the spirit of the holidays, LifeLine is seeking more happy endings and offering $25 adoptions on all dogs over 25 lbs. and all cats during its “Give Joy” promotion throughout December.
The Community Responded
According to LifeLine Animal Project FCAS Director Lara Hudson, LifeLine cannot thank Atlanta enough for all of the support they received. “We asked the Atlanta community to step up and adopt, and the community responded by turning out in large numbers and even surpassing the amazing results we had last year! To say we are grateful is an understatement,” she says.
Hardly A Dry Eye In The Shelter
LifeLine DCAS Director Kerry Moyers-Horten says employees were overjoyed with the Black Friday/Cyber Monday results. “The employees here were so moved by seeing so many pets adopted, that there was hardly a dry eye in the shelter by the close of Cyber Monday. We cannot thank everyone enough for their support and hope it continues throughout December.”
