U.S. slopestyle skier Gus Kenworthy wins the Gold! Technically, he won the silver on the ski slopes. But if Wagbrag was giving out medals, then he’d receive a Gold for his efforts in helping the homeless pups in Sochi, Russia. Earlier this month, news spread that Russia was quietly trying to “dispose” of the large number of strays that roamed the streets in Sochi. Gus’s efforts have been anything but quiet. Follow him on Twitter or Facebook and you’ll see that when he is not skiing, he is hanging out with several puppies that he found living out on the streets.
He appears quite determined to figure out how to bring them home with him. On his Facebook page, he posted “Spent all afternoon playing with a gang of stray puppies here in Sochi! Looking into finding a way to bring them home with me but also don’t want to take them away from their mama because she was being super cute and protective over them. I bought them some food and I’ll go visit them again tomorrow.”
Come on Gus – bring mama dog home with too! By the way – we were watching – way to nail the “switch triple cork 1440”!
