Rescued Shih Tzu Get’s Amazing Makeover

Amazing ‘Before and After’ Photos

These amazing photos show the condition of how some dogs arrive when entering your local county animal rescue shelters.

Moffat is a Shih Tzu who was turned to over to the DeKalb County Animal Services shelter in Atlanta as a stray. This poor Shih Tzu’s fur was so severely matted that the veterinarian had to sedate him in order to groom him. As the pictures show in the slide show below, Moffat’s fur was so severely matted that it came off in one giant pelt of fur.

Now that Moffat is much more comfortable, he is a lot happier and is ready to find a loving home!  LifeLine Animal Project has lined up a rescue group to temporarily adopt him after when his stray hold period is up.

Thank you LifeLine and Dekalb Animal Services for going the extra mile and rehabilitate those animals in need.

See what just a little bit of care and grooming did for this dog?

Please considering rescuing before purchasing through a breeder.  Even if you’re wanting a purebred like a Shih Tzu, you can still adopt.  Did you know that 25% of the homeless dogs in shelters are purebreds?
