LIFELINE ANIMAL PROJECT WAIVING ADOPTION FEES DURING
“CLEAR THE SHELTER” EVENT ON AUGUST 18!
All dogs over 25 lbs and all cats qualify for fee-waived adoptions!
ATLANTA, GA – (August 13, 2018) As shelter intake continues to soar with over 40-to-60 animals entering per day, LifeLine Animal Project hopes to attract hundreds of potential adopters during their “Clear the Shelter” fee-waived event this Saturday, August 18, at all of their four shelters. All dogs over 25 lbs. and all cats are eligible for fee-waived adoptions, and each adopted animal will receive a free spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations! Potential adopters will be screened to ensure pets go to loving homes.
“We are currently housing over 1,100 homeless dogs and cats at our DeKalb and Fulton County shelters, so adoptions are crucial to saving lives,” says LifeLine Spokesperson Karen Hirsch. “Adopting a pet not only saves the life of that pet, but also makes space for another homeless animal to take its place, so adopters can feel good about essentially saving two lives.”
Participating shelters include:
LifeLine Dog House & Kitty Motel, 129 Lake Street, Avondale Estates, Sat, 9am – 5pm
LifeLine Cat Adoption Center, 3172 E Ponce de Leon Ave, Scottdale, Sat, 8am – 5pm
DeKalb County Animal Services, 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd, Chamblee, Sat, 11am – 6pm
Fulton County Animal Services, 860 Marietta Blvd NW, Atlanta, Sat, 11am – 6pm
National Dog Day Celebration
In addition to the Clear the Shelter event, LifeLine will be celebrating National Dog Day the following weekend on Sunday, August 26th, at SweetWater Brewing Company. SweetWater will donate one dollar of every pint sold on Saturday to LifeLine, and customers will receive a souvenir pint glass, a tour of the brewery and get to meet a few shelter dogs too. Flywheel Sports will also be offering a noon FlyBarre class at Sweetwater with lunch provided by Recess at Krog Street Market, and all proceeds going to LifeLine!
